There were four songs charting on the Hot 100 this spring that allude to either being tipsy from love or just flat out tossing back a brew for the heck of it. Beyonce's Cognac-soaked 'Drunk in Love' collab with husband Jay Z, Brantley Gilbert says 'Bottoms Up,' Jerrod Niemann wants to 'Drink to That All Night,' while Luke Bryan simply wants to 'Drink a Beer.'
But this certainly isn't the first time musicians have gotten their drink on in song. And with intoxicating holidays like St. Patrick's Day and Cino de Mayo this season -- and let's not forget about the legions of college kids heading out for spring break -- it's a good time to look at the jams that age-appropriate revelers are likely to use to get the party started -- responsibly, of course!

Rock wit me now
Dance wit me now
Move wit me now
It's the weekend
[Lil' J]
Aiiyo I heard the party packed from the front to the back
We gon' tear the roof off, make the floor collapse
Jump out the Porsche, candy-gloss, hunchback
Slid right in, gave security dap, they know who I be
Don' need no ID, I'm either on the dance floor, or VIP
I stack that cheese, at club 112 lurkin', sippin' on virgin daquiris
That's me, J I'm the one, besides lookin' quiet
Why don' you slide here hun, let your hair down
Lets have some fun, it's the weekend, and the party just begun
[Hook]
To the windows, to the walls
The club is packed so that's all
See my girls and all my doggs
Won't leave till the window's fog
It's the weekend, what you doin'
Get out the house, wanna see you movin'
Gotta get your money right cuz it's on tonight
Yeah it's the weekend baby
[Lil' J]
Aiiyo Jermaine you should see the way I'm gamin' these dames
I'ma soldier, my boy, six Rovers stay in your lane
Chicks get whippa peeled how I grip the wheel
So fast get whiplash, when the wheels peel
I'm so ghetto but the broads still love me
I never fall off my game never rusty, J make the girls stop and stare
The way the chains swing back and forth like a rockin' chair
It's hot in here, why does the jungle, why does the rumbles in the tunnel
Let's pop in here, from 80 to Club Centuries, to the good bar
Everybody know Lil' J the hottest star
[Hook]
[Lil' J]

It’s the remix to “Ignition” … that R. Kelly wrote before he wrote “Ignition”. Released in 2002, “Ignition (Remix)” is one of the defining songs of the early 2000’s. Its opening hook is immediately recognizable as the greatest adolescent party jam of the last decade. Unlike the original Ignition, The “remix” dominated billboard and quickly became R. Kelly’s most popular and recognizable song. It is catchy, carefree, and overtly dirty. In 2002 R. Kelly had already gained notoriety from a leaked sex tape. The original “Ignition” was released in the same year and its sexual theme drew further attention
The Ignition Remix is R. Kelly’s personal reflection on pleasure. The metaphor of starting a car or revving an engine is meant to be sexually exciting and is developed as a theme throughout the song. R. Kelly’s references to personal wealth, luxury, and sex establish the exclusive agency commonly found in Rap or R&B. The audience is transported into the fantasy of the “perfect party.” The relaxed and seductive nature of the song lures the audience into a dream world, where sex is a guarantee, and good times abound. “Ignition” is a manufactured version of reality that allows a participant to vicariously live through the thematic elements of the song. This is ultimately what defines “Ignition (Remix)” as a great party song.
John Darnielle’s second-by-second exegesis of “Ignition (Remix)” pretty much covers it

The way you got me playing the field
So baby gimme that toot toot
Lemme give you that beep beep
Running her hands through my 'fro
Bouncing on 24's
